  • Corrosion Resistance

1.4529 (UNS N08926) is a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel known for its exceptional resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in halide- and hydrogen sulfide-containing environments. It offers excellent resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking, as well as strong corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and reducing media.

The alloy exhibits good thermal stability and mechanical properties slightly superior to 904L, making it suitable for demanding industrial applications. It is approved for use in the manufacture of pressure vessels within a wide temperature range, from -196°C to 400°C. In typical service conditions—such as exposure to 60% sulfuric acid at temperatures below 80°C—the alloy demonstrates a very low corrosion rate, typically less than 0.1 mm/year.

  • Application Fields

Flue gas desulfurization equipment, evaporators, heat exchangers, filters, and mixers for phosphoric acid production, sulfuric acid transportation equipment, condensers, fire extinguishing systems, seawater filtration systems, hydraulic and reflux piping systems in offshore industries, pulp bleaching systems, salt evaporation condensers, electric broad-pollution cooling water pipeline systems, reverse osmosis seawater desalination units, corrosion-resistant chemical transportation and storage tanks, equipment for organic production catalyzed by halogen acids, etc.

  • Matching Welding Material

High-alloy 625 series welding materials are recommended, namely ERNiCrMo-3 welding wire, ENiCrMo-3 welding rod (The welding material sizes are Φ1.0, 1.2, 2.4, 3.2, 4.0).

  • Supply Styles

Plates, strips, bars, wires, forgings, bright bars, welding materials, flanges, etc. Can be processed according to drawings.
