Corrosion Resistance
317L (00Cr19Ni13Mo3, SUS317L) alloy is a molybdenum-based austenitic stainless steel. It has stronger chemical corrosion resistance compared to conventional chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steels like the 304 alloy. Additionally, compared to conventional stainless steels, the 317L alloy has higher ductility, stress corrosion resistance, pressure resistance, and high-temperature resistance. It is a low-carbon grade or L-grade, which has anti-sensitization properties during welding and heat treatment processes.
