Application & Description
The INCONEL 112 electrode is used for shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) of INCONEL 625, INCOLOY 825, 25-6MO alloys, and other molybdenum-containing stainless steels. It is also used for surfacing steel and welding various corrosion-resistant alloys such as Alloy 20. Weld metal deposited by this electrode exhibits high strength at room and elevated temperatures and excellent resistance to a wide range of corrosive media, including pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress-corrosion cracking in polythionic acid environments. It is suitable for welding dissimilar metals, including INCONEL, INCOLOY, stainless steels, low-alloy steels, and carbon steels. Welding should be performed using DC electrode positive (DCEP) and is suitable for all-position welding.
