MONEL 400 Welding Wire
MONEL 400 welding wire is primarily used for TIG welding, MIG welding, and submerged arc welding methods to weld MONEL 400, R404 alloy, and K-500 alloy. It can also be used for overlay welding of steel surfaces using MIG welding and submerged arc welding methods. Under specific MIG welding conditions, it is recommended to use NICKLE 61 nickel welding wire covering. When using MONEL 60 welding wire for submerged arc welding, INCOFLUX5 flux is required. The weld metal formed by MONEL 60 welding wire exhibits similar properties to MONEL 400 alloy - high strength and strong corrosion resistance in various media, including seawater, salts, and reducing acids. However, when welding MONEL K-500 alloy with this welding rod, the weld metal cannot undergo age hardening like the base metal, resulting in lower strength.
